Lenard Strahringer
I’m a PhD student in Organizational Behavior at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, with a Minor in Computer Science.
This summer, I am interning at the AI for Analytics Team at Google People Analytics.
My current work is about designing the firm of the future. The primary question is how AI can help us organize better and make managers, leaders, and founders more effective at their job.
My PhD research uses applied ML and NLP methods to understand how to design organizations for successful coordination, drawing on digital-trace and event data. A recent preprint examines when structural role systems and shared culture substitute for—or complement—each other as sources of predictive knowledge for coordination.
My past work includes the design of online platforms for user engagement and social connection. This includes a paper in Social Psychology Quarterly on how reputation systems affect relationship formation, and a preprint (R&R at Computers in Human Behavior) on how generalized reciprocity drives contributor recruitment on Stack Overflow.
